Dear Mr. Prokhorov,
I'm closely following your political activism, a few times watched your debate with Vladimir Zhirinovsky. Had lots of fun, really enjoyed it and still have mixed feelings about it. Just now I found another interview on Bloomberg, read what was in your party's first conference, etc.
But, to be brutally honest and open, I'd like to see you, especially after yesterday's National mourning's day, doing something about Russian citizen's who suffer terrible loses of life and livelihood in Southern Russia and in Ukraine from flood and accident.
I don't hear or see anything from you. I wonder why?
There is a saying in America: "You have to become a CEO, then become "legitimate" (meaning prove yourself you deserved it), then become charitable.
You made yourself a CEO, which I applaud, then you decided you didn't need to prove anything, left business and switched to politics. I believe your charitable organization is helping some people in some spheres, but I don't see you underlining it or concentrating on it.
Unfortunately, I personally didn't hear from any Russian, whom I met so far, saying that you're "legitimate" in your fortune. Are they right or wrong - I don't know. I'm not a business person and I'm not Russian.
All those people who voted for you are really thinking that you're an honest man or they're looking for something they hope to get through you or from you? I would like to take an open pole about this. All the nice words you're using sound righteous, but bringing more and more Qs to my mind.
I also saw very confusing declarations by you following American "democracy," which on the ground is totally different. Did you ever wonder why American democrats called "donkeys"?
Believe me, I'm on your side and want to see you succeed, but don't feel like politics is your cup of tea. It's just my gut feeling. You can do so much more good without full time politics - I can't even start telling you.
There is another saying in English: "You can do anything, but you can't do everything." Especially, if I may add, at the same time.
Anyway, may God give your assistants courage and wisdom to tell you about this blog (after more than 2 years on Internet), and have you email me and talk to me - finally. Now seems to me that in this age of technology and all you can have to find out, it still can't happen without active God.
Oh, by the way, you calling yourself an atheist, mentioned God 2 times and Bible one time at your June 7th debate with V. Zhirinovsky, commentary of which I'll keep in draft in part 39.
Best regards.
