It's good that most people are back to school and work and I can continue trying to contact you further. I hope you had a good vocation and came back with renewed enthusiasm to new ideas, projects and people.
I saw you at State Council meeting yesterday with the President, heads of regions and industries discussing modernization and tech development of the economy. It's indeed the case; if professional training is not improved innovation and modernization are not possible.
Your numbers were impressive, even President was marking them down. You also were a little lighthearted, which was nice. What did you say "image of a worker for youth in Nasha Russia is Rav...n and Jam...d?" That sounded funny. I just don't want to write the full names, maybe those are lovely names for some.
It's sad that being a worker could be looked down and his job undermined and underpaid in Russia today. I'm familiar with a picture of joblessness with a degree, especially with Philology degree in former Soviet. But, when and where I was grewing up a worker, a laborer was respected. He would say "I earn my living with the sweat of my forehead" and proudly show his ruff and tough hands for a proof of his honest work.
I'm not too familiar with all the changes accrued in Russia's educational structure and curriculum now. I'm familiar with American one. I don't like some aspects of it and think others are not bad. It's depend on the subject. The only thing can't be confused that in Russia most of the education still is for free as appose in the US. Top 8 Ivy Universities are charging astronomical prices and I don't think RF should follow that trend. Most ridiculous thing to me in here is that they call themselves "non-for profit" while some charging tens of thousands of dollars per year for tuition only.
How to find the best solutions, compare the right things to each other, keep the nation educated and mostly employed afterwords, is not an easy task.

You might notice that after part 16th of this blog comes part 18th. Not an accident. I have 17th, but keeping it in draft. It's about your interview with a newly graduate green head journalist. Why did you need to do it - don't know.
But don't want to keep bothering you with interview analysis, until I see you keep doing it and exposing yourself to damn people's tastes, which only adds doubts about your character.

How was your May Holiday season in general? Did you rest?
I want to put out some short things for a change, like "tips and trivia."
1. Food:
When I saw "60 minute" crew in your house around the table, I noticed that you didn't have too much food on the table. Unless they cut the tape short, then pardon me. I believe they were expensive delicacies, but let me tell you; Americans eat a lot! Portions are very big in here. They put too much food on the table and finish it all. They're not shy eaters. Food for Americans is for consumption, not like for the French who put scarcely and treat it like an art object. Next time for Americans, please put a lot and fatty ones; hamburgers and hot dogs (Mayor Bloomberg's favorites), fried chicken, piles of appetizers, salads, mazes and veggies, all sorts of cakes. Besides wine (which to me is t...h) there are healthier drinks without morning headache. What happened to high quality Russian Vodka with ice? That usually scares the devil and clears the mind. No joke, a little of it is much healthier. To me for people who are visiting Russia is better to experience Russian Vodka than French wine, of course if you agree.
2. Music:
I saw Gosha around the table next to your Governor friend. I haven't heard his other songs, but one clip is on youtube from Vysotsky's anniversary concert on TV dated 17th of March, 2008. He sings "Banka" there. He is unbelievably absolutely incredible in that. I was shocked, touched to the core and speechless. I listened to it over and over. I still do. I have no words of compliment - none whatsoever!
Is he single?
OK, let's go next.
3. Health:
You said that your yacht makes you sea sick, right? There are over the counter tablets from "motion sickness," one of them called Dimenhydrinate, each for 50 mg?
4. Photography:
About the picture of your office in NY Times; did you choose or approve it?
I hardly found you sitting in the dark your head down. No comment from me, but saw bad ones on blogosphere. You need a publicist.
5. Q & A:
If they ask you ever again in any interview "how would you like to die or be remembered" please answer - "I'll get back to you on that."
If they ask "where is your yacht" like Croft did, say - "it's classified." You don't need to say "you don't know." He knows that you know, he was just being aggressive.
I personally would say either "why do you want to know that?" or "when I invite you you'll find out" depending on the person.
You don't need to be too nice to satisfy every stupid or nauseating question.
6. Good pronunciation:
You have to pronounce "side-effect" correctly. I saw at least 2 times, it doesn't come out good.
So far so short and good.
I'm sharing my thoughts very casually, because we have a common background and are close in age. Please remember that so far it's only me with the screen. If you feel that this tone is too casual, contact me, let me know, I'll gladly change it.
It's actually easier to be official and distant than casual and sincere. It's also safer - for sure. Shielded talk doesn't cause any hard feelings, pleases everyone and thus can bring more benefits.
Please know that no matter what words I use to express myself, I highly respect you and your privacy. Everything I'm talking about I see on Internet, where the rest of the world can see. Congratulation for the upcoming anniversary of Victory day! Let us never forget THE fallen. Everybody had one and may they rest in peace. I don't know about you, but I still listen to Katyusha and all the other war time songs with sadness and pleasure.
I heard that in some corporations there is May vacation until the 11th. Not bad, not bad at all. Hope you're enjoying some break. I'm continuing to put out thoughts because they keep coming.
One of "front line" topics I want to discuss when I'll have my program with your patronage will be "capitalism."
I want us to explain to common people on TV that capitalism is not a "Zero-Sum Game," so they can understand and at least ease the resentment. When you provide needed goods and services, create jobs, especially in today's global economy - everyone wins. I understand how people feel. Most of them likely are not happy. Capitalism can be unstable, unpredictable, nerve- wrecking thing. It can leave people on the streets. It can be cruel. I know that. So can socialism. It outcasts smart people or doesn't reword their work, degrades human life, leaves criminals unpunished, etc. We can go on and on. That's why Heaven is not on Earth. But, everyone would definitely agree on one thing; it's good to live in rich people's country. Why people wanted to come to USA for 200 years? Why all those genius Soviet scientists came to America? Nobody wants to be poor and constantly struggle. Nobody wants to live in poor neighborhood. Nobody wants his/her friends or family to be poor. Even Bible says "you shall prosper" and also says "help the poor."
Patriotism has different forms. One can take arms and protect his country, another can help his neighbor build a house (where I grew up that's what people did for each other), another can teach and inform in order to prevent potential harms of something that people don't realize (that's what I can do), etc.
There is also an "Economic Patriotism." Nobody but me calls it that way, but its opposite called "take and run." First step of EP is to spend money in your own country. Second is ..., the third is ..., etc. Charities have 2 forms: just giving money and goods considered a "passive charity," working, putting time, energy and labor called an "active charity."
I'm sure you know all this, you have a degree, but I want common people to know this too.
So far so good, let's go next.
One thing is not advisable is to advertise big corporations' often over-priced merchandise for free by wearing them in public. You're not an ordinary consumer. You have much more exposure. What am I talking about?
I saw on youtube that you were wearing V..and P..t-shirts. Did you pay for them? If yes, you gave them 2 businesses instead of one. You paid double. First, that's not true that if they're famous, it necessarily means that their stuff has quality or style. Second, there are so many cheap imitations out there, that no one really knows. The third, you, as "Mikhail Prokhorov" should be offered those at least for free (I'd suggest you get paid), just to show others that "You" are wearing them. Don't sell yourself short. Don't volunteer for people who are millionaires and billionaires themselves. They know it's a sign of naivete, got nothing to do with you being a "nice and generous" guy. Tell them in return to buy (for similar price) and wear t-shirts advertising your Gold company, see if they'd agree. I don't believe they would, but you can try anyway.
Our Real Estate mogul Donald Trump has successful TV shows and he negotiated his contracts through and through. He said it on TV and every one knows that he - The Donald, wouldn't let anybody to take advantage of him and laugh behind his beck. Good for him!
The other thing I mentioned above, is that imitations are all over and they're very good. If you see a handbag in L.V.. store for $700 on 5th Ave., you can come out and buy just like that on the street for $70. Who knows the difference? No one. Don't let people lie to you. An expert on TV, said and showed that unless he opens and looks inside and knows what to look for, even he couldn't tell. That's why I don't buy that stuff. No need to impress anybody by carrying merchandise like a bill board.
I know, unfortunately Russians are following Europe with this mentality. Most still think to "have and show" something is a sign of "status" thus control over others. It's just a sign of old poor world inferiority and desperate attention seeking. Emotional instability and discontent (even self-contempt) are often hidden behind smoke, drink, drugs, provocative cloths and too much makeup. Too bad money could be wasted on this backwards thinking, especially by those who can't even afford. I saw a program from Moscow, which was teaching girls how to show themselves in order to catch men. I wonder how many found something worth the money they spent on that program?

I'm not good with pompous words, I try to keep it simple. Thursday I went to send your cards with FedEx. Within the US it can get there the next day, but when I gave your zip code they said it won't get there Monday, maybe Tuesday or Wednesday. Also that would cost more than $100. I said - forget it. For that money I can send you cards every month until your next birthday. Wouldn't it be nicer? It's my fault that I'm late. I never sent anything to overseas with FedEx before.

Hi Mr. Prokhorov,

I was reading my last posting and realized that besides not using Internet you don't watch TV either, so I have to clarify something. I don't want you to think that I could imagine something violent happening to you even jokingly. The tall and painted woman I was referring to isn't an imaginary character, she is a famous bimbo hair-head who has been on the news many times because she did what I was describing. She is very tall, came from Europe, now lives in Russia. If you want to know, I'll tell you and find some photos from news reports. She really hit someone's face with her cell phone and got arrested. Actually she has been arrested multiple times. You'll be surprised to know who's caught up with her now.
I want to make sure that you know that humorous situation I created was around the actual news, not your life. But the person who's caught up with that psycho now is a billionaire. Some apparently don't know what to do with too much money.
Oh, well...
Now, let's take care of our business, shall we?
I'm very serious about "leaving politics to Kremlin" concept, tough. Today's Russian government is not treated fairly by Europeans and Americans alike. They don't want to give enough credit for its advancement and transformation. Old stereotypes are still pretty much in place. They keep repeating that now Russia is not a superpower but a regional power. Really? What happened, less bombs - less respect? President Medvedev was right saying that "ranshe boyalis i uvazhali, a seychas tak, ne ochen..." Would they start "liking" Russia, because of less bombs? I can only wish and don't mind to keep the hope alive. American administrations consistently giving heard time to communicate. I can bring example after example, but don't want to burden you with this topic. You're a businessman and I want to believe that you prioritize things.

Me, I have a good imagination, I can imagine lots of things; having my own program, heaving a puppet show, flying in Sputnik, coming out in the space and waving to the Earth planet, sitting on a star and rocking, but CAN NOT imagine one thing; waking up in the morning and realizing that I'm responsible for making decisions and applying judgment for tens of millions of people. I'm talking about Mr. Putin and his responsibilities now.
He inherited a country coming out of ruins and going into a new system of economy with no experience, no friends who would come to teach how to "build" capitalism. Instead most of the world, I assume (I hope I'm wrong on this one), were thinking how to take things out of there. It's a certain type of economic miracle that in such short time so much has been done. Although I heard that number of billionaires recently doubled, he still has his hands full of work, doesn't he? His workload didn't shrink. One tragedy after another.
Mr. Prokhorov, what he knows about politics we'll never find out. I mean - never. I mean NEVER - EVER. Please remember this. I'm asking you not to embarrass that MAN anywhere in anyway, please. He is still considered an Alfa of RF's politics. The amount of money you have you can use in extremely different ways - ranging from very good to very bad. It can cause lots of damage, if you use it unwisely. You know this as well. You mentioned it to Pozner regarding to something as innocent as sponsoring Art projects. How much do you know about Art? Not much? Me neither. Really nobody does. If you invest too much money in a wrong stuff, it can harm more than do good. You're absolutely right. Recently in NYC in one of the famous auction houses a bottle of "vintage" wine was sold for $1 million, just to find out that it was fake. Want another example? One "big shut" who now lives out of Russia, gives his bimbo girlfriend lots of money and she takes naked people to Museums, calling it "exhibition." You think normal person can't use a mirror? Someone in their right mind will go to Museum to see naked men and women hanging around live? Would you? Some sick ones surly did - Euro unwashed trash and some American perverts. And this is a tiny little one example only. The side-affect of this is the degradation of the image of Russian culture and mentality all around the world. What should anybody think; as soon as Russians got some money started running around naked, acting perverted, drugged and wild? Is that what they were deprived of so far? Is that the value that You and I grew up with?
That money was made in Russia with government's permission. What you think, how he feels to see this when lots of Russian kids are homeless and hungry right now? How would I feel in his place?
He has devastated hospitals to fix, day-cares to build, orphans to feed, wars to manage, terrorism to fight against, world affairs to conduct with every pompous head and despotic creature and list goes on and on...
That's why I need a program. By being friends we can do and gain so much more. If you even agree to invest as much as needed in this project, I still can't do without Russian authorities' instructions. Simple fact is that it's not my business to represent Russia or cast a subjective judgment about it. This blog itself is a conformation that I strongly believe in Russia's irreversible progress to future prosperity. My goal is only help to show facts and evidence about Russia's success and bring constrictive dialogue and cooperation between our people. I'm nor an activist, neither a politician and does not aspire to be one. I can be the reporter, the commentator, the PR, the facilitator, the liaison, the mediator for idea exchange and intellectual discourse, which can bring people together to help each other. You can't personally "like" anybody unless you find out what they stand for.
For example, maybe when American big businessmen see Russia and its progress on my program, also will fall in love with its beauty and will build a better resort than Courchevel in Far East, so everyone would be jealous and wish to to able to afford to go there, including French? Could it be? I personally would prefer to go to a Russian resort than French. Just a thought...
This project is International and can be used as a platform to build a new beginning between good people of RF and USA. I want to compare good things, encourage both sides and promote partnership.
For you the recipe is simple; invest the money, respect my professional independence and leave politics to professionals. They don't need help, unless ask for it, trust me.

How life is treating you? In some of your pictures you look tired. With your regime of working 15 hours a day, I'm not surprised. You definitely need a good nutritious food.
Let's talk food. Very important. Not only for physical and mental health, but also for your social life. Because you're single and right now you might not care about this research, but it says that the family who eats together most of the week days has more harmony and less divorce. So it's not only calories, but interaction, attention and intention around the table. On the other side, you shouldn't eat with people you don't like or have problems with. Religious Jews have a wonderful law of observance - Shabbat, when family must get together around the food, prayer and break from work. Going to house of worship and meeting other people who share the same values, gives everyone a feeling of meaning, belonging, purpose and devotion. It's emotionally rejuvenating and spiritually healing. Feeling that you're not alone in your convictions, and on top of it to believe that someone almighty is looking out for you, can not be compared with having things such as jewels, cars, yachts, employees, the robot and the hooker.
I personally think that no matter the religion every family should have a rule like that. And, if you're single you should have your extended family to join you for a dinner as much as possible. Just a wish from my part...
People that I know who are spiritual or religious start eating by saying "Our father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy Name, thy Kingdom come..." or "Baruch atah adonay elohenu melech ha olam..."
Because you say you're an atheist I'd suggest the following procedure custom-made by me especially for you: put your hand on your heart, make sure you feel it, top-top on it, close your eyes and whisper to yourself; "leave politics to Kremlin, leave politics to Kremlin, leave politics to Kremlin," until you deeply yawn and say "Amen," which means "True." Make sure you fellow up on this commitment every day, every step of the way and avoid enticements by all means.

Now that I've done the theoretical part of this report, as my academic classic education taught me, let's go to practical, which is more American.
What do you like to eat? Are you picky? Do you have a discriminating palate? Do you use food for comfort, do you know your comfort food when you need it? Pastries? What you grew up with? Did your mother or grandmother cooked something that you crave for? For instance, Gary Kasparov's favorite dish was her grandmother's "d...a." It's a Mediterranean perfect dish. Here it's considered an appetizer.
I love "borscht" with stew. And the meat should have bones attached while cooking. It's a delicate dish and one should know tricks of every component cooked separately. And, you shouldn't eat it right away. It should stay and cool off to work everything together, then warmed up and add the parsley and cilantro at the end. Chicken soup is essential for health; it's a comfort food and it's called "grandmother's penicillin." If you feel under the weather or have a little cold, it should be on your table. My favorite one here is in Spanish restaurant. I don't cook for myself - no time. I like the lentil soup in one of the Italian restaurants. American's most favorite food is Italian; traditional spaghetti and meat balls. Road Runners' club members before NYC Marathon are having big bowl of that. Meat balls can be made with different meats separately or mixed. It's all about the taste. I personally prefer fresh Italian crusty breads over pastas. Barbecue I'd recommend as it was done in old country; marinated over night, first on the grill go the veggies, then the meat (on smoke) and the potatoes go deep inside the hot coal. Of course the taste also depend on where and how things were grown. You need fiber for good digestion; celery, green beans, all sort of salads are good. More colorful food is better. Some veggies are good when raw, some better slightly steamed or cooked. Besides beautiful and tasty, you should follow what vitamins or minerals you need. Blood test called CBC will tell about it. It's not recommended to put sugar on top of protein. If you're having all sorts of meats, don't rush into your pastries and sweet coffee. Wait at least half on hour. When I go out with friends we usually don't have coffee in restaurant. We walk out, walk a little more and go to specialized coffee shop. 1st it's healthier, 2nd, coffee is better and in more varieties, the 3rd, we support two businesses instead of one.
I can go on and on, but don't know about you as an eater.
Generally I can say this; you start eating with your eyes, you want to pick something which looks appetizing, then check it with your nose, then the palate. But at the end what matters for your body, besides the entertainment or fancy-schmancy, is what nutrients you've got and how your system absorbs them. We're not born with all the enzymes needed to break down all the foods grown or made around the planet. Sushi is good for Japanese, but can make you sick. We didn't grow up on raw fish. Some enticing foods can make you sick or even poison you.
The same is with people.
For example, let's say you go to a party, see someone as tall as you, she has a painted art deco face, no bleach spared on her hair, half naked and high wearing some sort of male hormone triggering fragrance and jumps at you, what do you do? You're hot, you take her home in ecstasy... In the morning, after shower, you see her real face and in horror realize that those #46 size shoes next to your bed are not yours. You feel sick... You look at her big toes coming toward you and feel sicker... She starts talking and what leaks out of her brain through her mouth makes you vomit right then and there. You need help, but you're alone... You get cautious... Retrieve to a corner and wait... Before she leaves make sure she doesn't throw her cell phone at you or, worse yet, hit your face with it. After throwing up all the expensive food you spent good money on, I recommend a cup of tea brewed with fresh mint. It's an antioxidant and kills bacteria. Caution: not good enough for nervous breakdowns or STDs. Let's not go there - not my field.
Hope I'm getting my point out to you. Only emotionally insecure man doesn't like a woman with sense of humor. Smart man enjoys good company. I wish I could come to your birthday party. It's 29th of April and I didn't send your cards yet. Don't know even what's your address.
I can go on and on with food subject. Just want to add; in terms of fruits all berries are good. If you ate lots of salty stuff all day, have a banana in the evening, or if you feel clogged by fatty foods get a fruit salad with apple and pear, also bunch of strawberries will do.
In terms of pastries, I used to bake a lot, napoleonchik from scratch, which would take an entire day (I'll never do that again), heavy cakes, not now, no more. I remember one pastry which was around, fluffy, light and very delicious called "e..." It's not a slang, it's a cute animal's name, just don't want to give it out. I'd gladly make it for you. I imagine after tasting first one you coming to the kitchen hovering over the tray and grabbing those one ofter another with both hands, looking at me mouthful with defensive eyes (mean I have to have it) until they all decipher on front of my eyes and I'm left with none (I make sure I'll keep the recipe for myself).
I do not recommend burgers, hot dogs, sausages, candies, rice, dry fruits, nuts, sauces and condiments, sodas, preserved juices and wine. Also I'm not fan of most dairy products. Beer is better than milk for adult body. I've got so many enemies for writing this right now.
You need someone to organize your food around your schedule. I have ideas how to do it. Depend on your preferences and lifestyle, there can be 2 ways to go about it.
You should be a able to choose from 20-30 different dishes a day and those dishes can be changed every day. I'm not rich, but I'm able to do so every day in here. It's not complicated. One person can't cook all those at home, of course.
Also maybe for your fitness you want stress test done. Maybe it'd be better to do 2 one hour each exercise sessions a day instead of one 2 hour one?

I've got your birthday cards. One has a funny massage from special someone that you've met and shook hands with, another, a hilarious one - from me. I didn't add anything, just signed. It's about partying silly. Initially, I wanted an official looking card, but couldn't find a real nice one. Serious ones are blank and boring and I don't know what to write. So, hope you'll like this for laughs and won't take it personally.
Now, let's get to business: the business that you don't like to do, so someone has to do it for you. That is surfing the Internet. Your interview on CBS is being discussed in blogosphere. There are comments under youtube clips, others are in actual blogs. To show how vicious people in general can be, how every word of yours can be scrutinized and twisted, you should get a few of them. One of them under youtube called your life a "shallow existence" and how your arrogant soul will be perished. I assume that this poor thing needs money for his drugs and can't get it. Someone was upset with Croft that he interviewed you at all and blamed him for saying that you survived without blood on your hands. Remember Croft said "there were hundreds dead on the streets." Another one I saw in one blog today, calling you "vapid" and "oozy" also didn't like the smirk on your face. He goes on saying that you brought "army of whores into France." Commenter on his blog writes "he never had to work for anything in his life and his closest friends are a plethora of whores" and that you spent money on all those whores to be around you. Another says that you are "overgrown child with flaming Peter Pan complex," etc. I can go on and on, but these are enough. All of it on Google for the world to see. Because you don't use a computer, you won't feel the impact right away. But it will accumulate, spin, go around and will come around one day. Believe me this is a hard work for me to do, spend time writing about this garbage, but I'm doing this out of my heart trying to warn you to be more serious with your image. You represent more than yourself as one person and individual, you represent Russia's image today. They get all their information about it from TV. They don't want to travel there. I don't want to repeat myself, just remind you, please remember, they don't know anything good about Russia or its people. It's time to change, not reconfirm it. Also for yourself as they say in Russian "chest c molodu beregi." You're proof of the positive change in Russia, change to free market economy and prosperity, please put it in a bright light as it is. The type of life you have now surrounded by bodyguards, endless friends that you can fully pay for, you can gradually become isolated from the world of common people and real human values. All over sudden everybody will look small, unimportant, insignificant and life will feel like an easy game. But as we call them in here "fair weather friends" don't last long, one rainy day of your life and they'll be busy with others. No one will be really honest with you or say "no" to you, if they're getting paid by you. Remember some Kings and some big philosophers of old world had a person called a "jester." They had an agreement for life not to punish him. Jester was the one who was allowed to tell the King the truth. That was very wise thing to do for person's common sense and psychological balance. The Supreme court Justices here are appointed for life. I assume federal judges also, I'll double check that. They can't be fired or forced out. This gives them the utmost independence of decision making from the pressures of ruling administrations.
What bothers me about seeing that your image can be distorted, is that you still don't have a Publicist. Even seasoned Hollywood celebrities, some of them who grew up in that lifestyle, still walk on the carpet with their Publicist right next to them, who would stop them and drag them away from talking. When they go to most famous reporters for an interview maybe for the 10th time, still they take their Publicist with them. Just recently a famous lady was on live TV with very famous reporter promoting her book and her Publicist was categorically stopping her from answering to one the questions, until they stopped the reporter from repeating it. She literally took the microphone off and was leaving the chair. Was an ugly scene and was all live on main TV network.
I personally thought it was a normal question, but because it wasn't confirmed, the reporter shouldn't have tried. That's the law and ethics of the business. Take yourself seriously, before you expect from others to do the same to you. Don't worry if they "like" you, worry if they respect you. And, let me add one more thing to this, if I may, because I'm person of perspective, result and consequence, if you let yourself loose, eventually you'll get caught professionally (I can explain this in private) as well as personally. Even a prince, who grew up with everything you just trying to have, had all the grooming and training of precautions from rich and famous parents, knowing that every whore out there looks at him as a prey, still can get caught. And, not only ones. On top of it with a lowest of the low, who would get rid of their own children, just to get their ways with him.
You are a decent person, I feel it from far away. Croft said that you came from "elite" and had privilege to go to best school for economics. What elite? I heard you were born in "comunalka," then your family moved to one bedroom apartment. Is that right? Do they know what it is? How big it was and how many people were sharing it? Why he didn't say that when your mother got sick you went to work to care for her? As a student with your friends you were loading trains with heavy merchandise, each bag or box about 100lb. right? You didn't get into Academy of Finance because you were from "elite," but because you were good in high school and successfully passed the entry tests to FA. Why don't you say this to American people? Normal Americans, which are still the majority in this country, prefer and appreciate hard working, honest person who worked his way up and made a life for himself. Not the so called "filthy rich arrogant elitist from ex-communist enemy camp who pretends he's still a teenager surrounded by army of whores with a smirk on his face." YOU'RE NOT THAT PERSON! You came out from different school of life. All I can guess about your attitude that you were tying to be "cool." Unfortunately in the wrong place with a wrong public. Don't blame them later for "misunderstanding." Let's work on the real picture. Here and now I'm offering my help. I can do interviews with you my way and we'll sell them to main networks in both countries and in both languages. Think about it. This is the perfect time to stop the erosion.
Let's go a little more down the road. A decent woman hardly would want to share or carry a burden of a bad reputation with you down the line in your personal life, no matter how much money you have.
That's the truth. "Playboy man" with screwed up psyche and life is hard to convert into decency and family life or keep him in it. It'd require life time of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with most expensive Clinical Psychiatrist in town.
Not too long ago a professional hooker ran our Governor out of office and sent him to one of those expensive ones. "Playboys" also often end up paying (against their will) for something or somebody they weren't planning and don't want to keep around. Getting hooked with hoochies who drop their drawers, scream loud, don't spare paint on their face and color on their hair, can end a person up with enemies. Enemies to whom playboy's demise will benefit more than his life. What am I talking about? It's simple, but too much to explain. I'd need to get paid for it. But, I remind you this for free; money don't make people happy, it just gives them freedom to do stuff and have stuff. If one is screwed up emotionally, money just will allow to worsened the trend. Someone said "money won't get you real friends, but it will get you better class of enemies."

Your birthday is coming soon and I want to send you a little gift. I don't know what will happen with all these air traffic chaos all over Europe. If they won't fly soon it means you won't get it, or you won't get it on time.
I'll slow down after this posting, I want to make sure that you're interested to read or better yet to respond. It would be tragic if you'd reject my plea to sponsor my projects. Tragic not in a physical or psychological but ideological sense. We can help so many people in so may ways. It would be more work and time consuming effort for me to go through list of others. I really, really, really want to work with you. I kind of have an idea about you as a person and it would be wonderful if you just give me a chance to explain everything to you. I don't worry about my ideas being stolen, because nobody has the same skills, knowledge and personality. It's like a handwriting. If you'd invite me to Russia and provide me with a place to stay with a nice kitchen, I'll cook for you. Cruse on Moscow river should be included, please. My grandmother used to say "never ask a man a question before you feed him, you might end up with a wrong answer." She was a wise woman and was happily married all her life. Although she lived in an era of only home cooking and never worked outside, she still is right. Men are still the same. They need more care and attention, than women, believe it or not. Statistically happily married men live longer.
According to your life story, as an adult you were a care taker. Your sister said that when your mother got sick, you were a teenager then, you went to work to pay the doctors. That clip is stuck in my mind. You have been a good son.

Men get cranky when they're hungry. If I cook for you, while you eat, I'm going to do the talking. You'll choose the stories: comedy (yes, I can be funny), drama (it's easy) or tragicomedy. Those are for entertainment. For business, I'll talk about my projects and how to get your deposit back from French. There can be some legal loophole.
On my small apartment rental contract in Nice I discovered fraud on top of a fraud.
I spoke with 4 lawyers, showed them the contract, all of them said the same thing; it's a fraud and brokers are doing it to everyone, see if anybody can fight back. I did. Took lots of energy, though. Culture of fraud is deeply embedded in their business practices. They have no human conscious to feel bad about wrongdoing. They consider it as an heroic act, maybe still want to compensate for little Napoleon's defeat. You can not fire a store cashier there, let alone a policeman. When I was there policeman ran over a teenager in Marseilles, in the middle of the day, on the red light, killed him on front of people. Witnesses were crying on TV, telling how it happened. Media went to Police Commissioner for answers, he harassed them on TV saying "what do you want, he is on the desk duty now" and scared them away. There is no place to file a consumer complain. If there is, nobody needs to know - waste of time. They were fighting against Mr. Putin - the Russian almighty government to not to return the control of a Russian Church to its rightful owner - the Russian people. They are Catholic, that Church is Orthodox, "why bother" you may ask? $$$? I have been there. They were charging 3 euros just to walk in. Bringing buses full of tourists and sticking them up with a fee at the door. Have you seen a Church anywhere that charges people to walk in? I haven't.
I have a tragicomic story for you. It happened in France to our presidential candidate (2008 election) Mitt Romney, who speaks perfect French. When he was running for presidency here, French were very jittery there. The story is...
Many years ago he was traveling in South of France, got into a horrible automobile accident, got all injured, broke down, police came... You will not believe what they did. Thank God he survived. It would be tragic if it wouldn't be so sickly sarcastic. Same thing can happen to anyone today. They didn't change a bit.
I also have my story. Not as bad as his, not accident, the door brake in. I called the police 4 times, spoke both English and French, they kept hanging up on me and didn't come. Life's worth "0" there, I mean - nothing. You think they give a darn about the justice, for your property or money? Even when Princess Diana got in accident, knowing already that it was her, ambulance kept her in that tunnel for 40 minutes before driving her to the 3rd hospital passing by 2 others on the way. Did you hear any lawsuit about it? Any doctor was accused of anything? I didn't. Dody's father sued, but not the hospital. When Mitt Romney was criticizing Hillary Clinton and ran out of normal words in dictionary, he said "she is like France."
If he runs again, we should get together; you, I and Mitt Romney. He'll tell you the full story and try to get my vote. It's all on you.
There is a book by British author about France. I read it, laughed a lot and loved it. I'd recommend it to you. Also we can translate it to Russian. It will save money for Russians. Nobody who has a self-esteem or values life should go there. When you call the police and they hung up on you, there is nothing you can do. It's not being recorded like in here, no proof that call was made. I told to so many people, especially those with children, to be careful. That's a good place only for dogs. Dogs run around and do it everywhere, on the beaches included.
When you get a dog, then go for a vocation there. Don't forget your Kalashnikov and a personal Doctor. You'll walk around, no need to pick up dog's stuff. Take the pooch to hotels, restaurants, beaches - everywhere.
To avoid the rot in the streets, in the summer, I was commuting to Monaco to be able to swim (I'm a good swimmer, by the way). Also what kind of unimaginable perverted things they show on TV, words can't tell to normal human. Do you know that almost all the slang words in English came from French? One of them is on every door...
I better stop now, get another coffee. Going to get a piece a cake too, need comfort food after this negative talk.

I want to talk health and fitness now, because you said that exercise for you is some sort of a drug. Not necessarily good choice of words. "Drug" sounds harsh. It associates with addiction and no will power. When you say that, it opens up another question "what other addictions he might have?" On TV you could say "it's my biggest hobby, I love it, I'm hooked on it, can't do without it, seriously." It would be the same thing, only in much softer and friendlier way.
Rigorous exercise followed by endorphin release can leave you euphoric high. So some foods and some type of music. In case of agility and muscle building, it can help. That's good that your metabolism is good, so you're still slim and trim. You look good and you're very tall. Very tall looks dashing, but you have to pay attention to your heart. Why should I talk about this and what do I know? I have a Certificate called "Medical Nurse in Military Reserves" from former Soviet Union. Here, in NY, I've got 2 more technical ones. One of them is EKG. This was in early 90's. I was new, my English wasn't good enough for Journalism, I've got a job in medical office in dieting business. Americans are getting heavy and we have specialized places helping people to lose weight. There was a Medical Doctor, 2 medical assistants, trainer and the nutritionist. In the gym trainer would work with them specifically on their different body parts. It was small, as we call it "boutique" type, but busy with "high end" clients in most expensive area (UES) of Manhattan. To give an idea, the first visit was $400, stress test was $1400, every hour of exercise with the trainer was ... etc, etc. There also was a medication for some. I loved that job. Generally I'm very good with people, I'd listen to their stories and that's what they needed besides their diet instructions and exercise regiments. Most of overeating can start from psychological reasons before growing into physiological problems. First is the stress, constant pressure, worries, etc. I learned that men after 40's or 50's (depend on their type) recommended to take small dose of Aspirin daily for heart health. The Doctor I was working with also was taking just for prevention. At first I thought it was weird, because culture I came from didn't think about prevention. Men smoked, ate fatty foods, didn't exercise, dropped dead of heart attack in their 50's. No wonder average life expectancy still in Russia for men is 60, for women is 73. Women tend to be less reckless toward life and their bodies, I guess. So the recommended dose of Aspirin in USA is 325mg a day, in France (Europe recommends it too) it's 90mg.
Heart is a muscle and it has a heavy duty job of pumping blood. Lots of it. Without break. Poor thing never stops. For taller than average person it has more of a pressure, it works overtime. When I saw your picture it came to my mind right away. Doctor would check it out first too. So, you don't need to get sick to remember that everything we have has its limits and better safe than sorry, right? You need to take good care of it everyday to be able to achieve all those goals in sports in your 80's that you're planing. Here in America it wouldn't be surprising. First President Bush at his 80th birthday skydived. When came down he addressed people of his age on TV saying "get off your butts, do something!" Good for him! He was an overachiever all his life and he still keeps up with it.
Thank God I never had a weight problem, I used to be on a thinner side, now I'm perfectly normal for my normal height. My patients wanted to know my "personal secret." Many of them asked me out for a dinner just to get it out of me. I was telling them that I didn't have a secret. They always thought that I was being "too extreme" in my professionalism. When I felt that I learned enough and I left that job, I've got a "thank you" letter from the Doctor praising my work. I was pleasantly surprised of the kind words, such as "it was an honor to know you" and "you made the program a success." I didn't expect it, thought I was just doing my job. I called and asked what made him to do that. He said besides that he genuinely felt himself that way, all the patients were asking for me, some threatened that without me they wouldn't go there anymore. He had a hard time convincing them that it was my decision to leave.
I still have that letter. I threw away recommendation letters to Columbia University, but kept that one.
I don't exercise, though. Don't know why. Maybe because I don't need to? I don't like gyms. Don't enjoy having strangers sweating around me. I walk a lot. Prefer fresh air to air conditioned spaces. In Manhattan I can walk hours and not to be bored, especially when my favorite talk show hosts keep my brain stimulated with their fast thought processes.

Today I noticed that this blog already can be found on Internet. I'll try to contact some people who know you to let you know. Because you don't use computers, I hope they will print this out and give it to you. Paper is better anyway, it's more relaxing and tolerant than an electronic screen.
Let's go to France, shall we? Not literally, please. I have no desire.
I lived there for a year and a half; 2 winters and a summer, from 2006-2008, in south, Cote d'Azur. I was there when your news broke. I couldn't care less, I wasn't following, didn't have any opinion about it.
Recent decade, according to their press, Russians bought more than one billion euro worth of property in South of France. I personally wouldn't buy anything there. I mean - nothing. How do I know about Real Estate? I have a License in Real Estate in NY. I sold other people's properties and bought and sold mine.
When I've got there I was thinking to stay for couple of weeks, go to Paris, see my friends and come back. I fall in love. It was smaller, slower and quieter than NYC.
I loved French language, use to be very good at it, used to play piano with their popular songs and sing them in French. I wanted to remember, bring the feelings of those happy years of my life back. I rented an apartment in the center of Nice, on Ave. de Jean Medecin. To make my long story short (I can write a book about this), I discovered fraud after fraud. Every day one nasty thing after another. But dog waste - I have no words. The entire country in swamped in it. We have a saying in America "In France you can't walk your head up." That's not a joke, that's scientific truth. You have to walk your head down to watch out for dogs' sh.t. In couple of weeks I saw more of it than I had seen for 16 years in NY. Most French are arrogant, don't like anybody, but they despise Russians, especially the rich. They think that all of them are crooks with dirty money and by buying all those properties they are bringing prices up and hurting their buying power. Practically that's not false - the buying part, but do they do anything to buy themselves - is another question. They also didn't want to return St. Nicolas Church in Nice to Russian government after the contract was over. They are half socialist country and like entitlements from government. Half of the year consist of vacations, weekends, holidays and strikes. One man said to me "French are the world champions of "striking." I agree. I felt I was half way back in former Soviet. Same nasty faces in service, only there I was paying not rubles, but the highest currency of the world. Everybody who had business said that people in their right mind don't go there anymore. Especially Americans, they don't get their money's worth and they won't tolerate that type of service. French think that they above and superior to anyone, that speaking another language is degrading to them. When they hear English language they feel they're being colonized. They're control freaks.
The only people they don't feel superior to are the Americans. They're just jealous of us.
Now, what happened between you and their authorities I don't know and don't care.
One thing is clear to me: they had a reason or not, they'd love to teach you a lesson, show that you were on their turf and that they were in control. Another sad factor in Nice was that some Russian ladies at nights were walking on Promenade des Anglais for no good reason. It's a beautiful sidewalk, but when I realized that, I stopped going there for walks in the evenings. Although I don't have bleached hair and don't walk on high heels and don't even look Russian, still was approached, because of the trend created around that area. When it was getting dark, I'd just go home.
Europeans are much more territorial and controlling in their behavior than Americans. USA is very big, Americans are bigger, happier, richer and they're not jealous of anybody. That's the difference.
Why did you worry about apology from French, I don't know. In your place I wouldn't care less to waste energy on it. By demanding it you were showing that it had importance to you. Maybe you needed it as a proof for important people in your life, who knows?
One thing you did good - not buying that big house. Too bad you didn't have a good lawyer to point out that you had only 7 days to rethink. Even if you'll not get your deposit back after appeal, you still won. That's a chum change for you anyway. Don't you worry, you can make it in NYC. Who knows what kind of bad energy that place has from burned skeletons in closets. All sorts of crooks lived there. You don't want to put your name under theirs. You can start yours - build new, modern, contemporary, energy efficient and much more convenient. I have an idea and example for you.
Who needs an old rotten big house full of ghosts? And the maintaining of it? Are you kidding me? Who is going to watch out, hire people, pay them, make them work? You can make French work??? Oh, la-la... They would rip you off and laugh out loud. You have money to throw away? I'll show you where the garbage can is.
Do you know what General De Gaulle said about French men and their work ethics when he became President of France? It's interesting...

It's by a person who's name I'd not put with yours on the same page. He literally says "your background, which is unusual for the NBA, given you air of mystery and danger." I assume he got scared of your Kalashnikov. Also that David Stern avoided the question about your "character."
He goes on saying that you admitted paying bribes in mid-90's because doing business in Russia was like doing business in the Wild West and your arrest for cavorting with prostitutes you called a "police misunderstanding." And, as if, you even bragged about how fun it was to spend time in jail. Voila - there you have it! Every professional eye can see that this little unknown boychik has a "p...s envy." You want me to give his exact website? Don't worry, I'll do the work for you.
When did you say you gave bribes in mid-90's in that interview? I didn't hear that. Maybe this lib all over sudden forgot about "innocent unless proven guilty" under the American jurisprudence or just simply giving benefit of doubt to someone who got an apology? What do you think? Try to accuse him before he's convicted in the court of law, see how he'll run around screaming "foul!"
About time in jail you said that you didn't mind even such change, right? It was only 3 days anyway. You took it as a MAN. This wuss, this boychik hasn't been in military, he doesn't know that in Soviet military you've got your nerves shaped. I bet he lives in a government subsidized housing and smokes pot watching p..n all by himself. What kind of man and so called "journalist" will write this type of garbage and who is publishing it? Just a thought. I would suggest for the next time, like every important person who takes his reputation seriously, before interview get questions in writing and go through answers with a professional. They only will respect you for that. It won't compromise your answers, it's like an anti-virus type of thing. You put it before, so every lowlife can't misconstrue your character. What I'd not approve in that interview that you said for you life is like a game. What do you mean? You don't take life seriously, you can gamble with it? What serious person would like to be around or take you seriously if you don't? In my heart I don't believe it. If I'd be your media consultant I'd say "don't go there, leave it alone" and if I'd be the interviewer, a decent one that I am I'd ask you to clarify. Let me play "devil's advocate" and assume you're going to tell me that you don't give a damn and they should shove it! OK, fine... But, if you'd take a moment of a deep thought and try to listen to a woman who has better instincts and knows this stuff better, you'd take a look at you in the mirror and realize that thousands of people getting their paychecks from you to put food on their tables, to buy cloths and books for their children, paying their gas and electric bills and relying on your conscious, character and good judgment. Understand that you're a face of 21st century Russia, its new system of economy, social life, culture, influence, future success. Like it or not, you bear more moral burden and responsibility than an average citizen. Please take it seriously. Please do it for them. You're not a teenager anymore. Neither lots of us, so don't worry, you're not alone, you can still have more fun than many can afford.
I don't mean that somehow you should have less fun today than you had yesterday, let me be very clear, I mean you can have it in a little more thoughtful way that people behind you will feel safe with you and your country will be proud of you. I want it too, from far away, because of my genuine love for Russia and Russian people.

Let's talk about topic called "interview."
Who am I and why should discuss this? I did journalism before I came to USA, had my own programs on TV. I have a Philology degree. Then I became the first Int'l reporter from my Republic. I was independent thus trusted to be translated. I represented an American newspaper and had my articles published on front pages of NY newspaper in English, without knowing English. My foreign language was French. Before I came here, my dream was to come to NY and work for NY Times. When I came, learned English (by myself), started reading it, became puzzled. Year after year I tried to look at it from their points of view, adjust to and absorb the American mentality. Took me some time to finally understand what was the problem. So called "main stream media" and most of the press in here are liberal, which are promoting everything destructive and anti-American. It's sad to realize the results of that nice sounding word as ideology. Winston Churchill rightfully said "if you're under 40 and not liberal you have no heart, if you're over 40 and liberal you have no head." For foreign eyes this may be pleasant. Out of jealousy they want to see America badmouthed and destroyed. Like everywhere, we also have our insiders who don't care, they just want their share. Those who care and worry about this country and its future are a small minority in media, most of them on radio, a few on TV and on Internet. Statistically educated and decent immigrants are much more patriotic than those born in here. I don't want to see Russian youth mimic everything American, thinking that's progress. Believe it or not, Europe is far worse. I lived in France, I saw it, it's dying without gun shut fired. Illegality, immorality and drug use under concept of liberalism are silently killing western civilization. It's like termites, dust mites, bed bugs and ghosts in house. No matter the facade, walls will come down one day. Same about the people. No matter how much they have and what they wear, if they're physically and emotionally sick - nobody good wants them. That's why I don't do journalism in here, yet. I can't tell the truth, if I work for those. I want to have my own programs and talk freely about what I believe in. Now that Americans are waking up, most in the country are considered "center-right" and independent. It gives me hope. I want to help and finally do what I love.
Now, that I briefly introduced my professional standing, allow me to analyze your interviews. If you like my analysis, you should hire me as your "media consultant."
I haven't seen many of them; one with Pozner, couple of short ones on you tube, one article in Vancouver and on CBS's "60 minutes."
To me with Pozner you were kind of more serious; no joke, no smile. Maybe it's just a Russian thing; they smile less than Americans. But in the future if you want to talk to American people you have to remember that programs can use subliminal massages, such as putting pictures that you have not choose or even seen before. I'm talking about "60 minutes" now. You were more loose and smiley, a little cocky, maybe you thought that he has been in your house and around your table, he is a friend already. Not so. It's his job. When you said that it was like the Wild West, there were no rules and you had to survive - they showed pictures of dead people on the streets. Croft said "there were hundreds dead." Hundreds? Where did he get that number? There were massacres going on? Then in your house you showed him a Kalashnikov for special forces. If I'd take this clip to the streets of NYC to by-passers and ask what they think happened, don't be surprised that most of them would say "he may have been on the killers' side." I know what you meant, but public here has no way of knowing. Especially about Russians. All their lives they heard bad things, unfortunately till this very day. Next, you said, that you're still a teenager. Wouldn't it be better if; "I still very much feel in my years of youth and I'm keeping up with it every day?" Teenager in here sounds more of immature, pot smoking rebel who can't pay his rent. Then you said that life for you is a game. Does it mean that you don't take your life seriously? Anybody who cherishes life can get scared from that type of shallow approach - business or personal.
Next was about women. You said you like them, but they make a mistake all the time because "the way to man's heart goes through his stomach." Oh, goodies! You said it in general terms, same my grandmother use to say, but what any American would understand is that you were looking for a professional cook and you can't find one. Actually he commented on it by showing pipe smoking hair-head bimbos in your party, saying that none of them looked like they'd spend their lives around a hot stove. I agree. You can party with them, but taking them home with you?.. They're for entertainment. Most days in life aren't about or for entertainment and that doesn't mean that they're less joyous. Would you tell your sister to act and behave that way? For what? To get hooked with a guy for money? Isn't it degrading? Even poorest of the poor who have dignity wouldn't do that. Ones woman takes her cloths off for money or advantage, she ruins her psyche and reputation and hardly ever can be taken seriously by serious people. Decent Americans which are more than 50% of population know this, even reputable employer wouldn't hire or keep a person with promiscuous behavior. This also shows "class." Classy people have fun and loud parties, but don't take their cloths off or invite others to do so. Most intelligent, achieved, wealthy and emotionally secure women are more casual, less painted, quieter and actually nicer and healthier. Somebody comes to my mind just by seeing the picture - your sister: beautiful in her natural self. They don't go out to "get attention" or "catch" somebody - don't need to. Healthy and happy people don't smoke or use drugs either. That's for people who are sick, hate themselves and need to elevate the emotional pain of living their miserable lives. If someone hurts himself/herself and pays for it too, what do you expect them to do to you; love you, care for you, have a mercy on you? I personally wouldn't take a chance on that.
Next - cooking. I'm a good cook, I can cook that you'd lick your fingers, but if anybody says that he wants me because he likes to eat, I'd run away. What if somebody says that she likes you because you're a great money maker? That's some brilliant skill right there everyone in the world can use and love it too. What you say? As a human your character and good conscious, which comprised of your intellectual, emotional, moral, spiritual values and priorities in life is much bigger and important than your skills and possessions, would you agree? One can be most genius singer or actor or talented scientist or financier or politician, but be a miserable sick dangerous failure in life. Skills can be learned, character hardly can be changed. Money can be made, but happiness can not be bought.
Cooking is for families with children to feed them fresh and healthy. In America, especially in NYC, there are all sorts of freshly prepared foods all over the place. I'd recommend some of the places, if you come. Good cooking takes lots of time and energy, it's a real hard job, good dish cannot come out fast, so for busy couples cooking is not conducive for every day life. Person like you also can hire a chef. So, by saying that, you gave an impression that you don't have enough prepared food.
If you think I'm being too picky and over-analyzing, all right, let me talk about an article analyzing this same interview. That's right, they can do it - analyze your interviews in every publication possible. You thought there were only 2 of you talking? Guess again. Someone respectful rightfully calls those so called journalists "vermin in the media."

Hope you're in good mood, as you said you always are.
Let's talk dogs - my favorite animal. They have been with humans in caves and they still live with Kings in their palaces and sleep in their bedrooms. Their maids, their soldiers, spouse even children might betray them, but their dog won't. They most faithful animals. I personally say "GOD created DOG to sooth the pain of a human caused by another human." So, ones we established this clause, let's see why are you afraid of big dogs. Do you have a little one? No? If not, you're missing lots of unconditional love. Since I don't know the answer, I can only guess that you were scared of a big dog when you were a child. Yes, they can attack if they're stray and hungry and the fear can develop a phobia in person. It's not difficult to get rid of phobias. Come to NY, we'll do it fast. Next thing you know you're petting every big dog passing by. Especially in America dogs are calm and friendly. I was a little surprised at the beginning. They act like big toys. Then I realized why. They neuter or spay them and feed them dog food which has no adrenaline. There... Dogs are so instinctive and smart, they feel your bio-energy. They know who is positive and who loves them. They run to me like they just found a long lost one. Often owners look at me - "do I know you?" I say "no, your dog does." Kids are the same, if you let them run around in a big party full of strangers they'll go find somebody who is the kindest. You won't fool them with words.
That's it about this, now you have a chance to start loving again.

Hope you enjoyed some of the holiday, if not all. There was a saying in Russia "slava bogu boga netu" remember? I enjoyed the Central Park yesterday, lots of fun things were going on and weather was absolutely gorgeous. Also we went to St. Patrick's Cathedral on 5th Ave. and sat there for a while to remember those who are not with us anymore, my parents in particular. I remember when I was a little girl every Easter my mother would dress me in new custom made dress and shoes designed with matching details. And those red Easter eggs colored with onion peels were delicious. Different fish dishes and the rice pilaf with raisins. Also the baked stuff. I missed those in here. I grew up in very rich cooking culture. We made everything home and invited each other to enjoy.
Now let's go to business.
In your interview on 1tv.ru Mr. Pozner asked you how did you allow yourself to go to celebrate anything on Avrora, because it was against everything that you stand for. I couldn't believe how he could confuse 2 such different things.
You are a free market economy businessman in global world of 21st century. Everybody can invest in your investments and take advantage of it. Besides you've got everything by working and studying all your life. You did physical and intellectual hard work to get where you are. You are a face of new democratic and highly educated Russia free of European dominated inbreeds of interrelated and prearranged marriages to keep money, power and thus oppression going. You inherited no penny and no power from anybody. How possibly he could compare you to Tsar of Russia - it's beyond me.
Tsar couldn't care less about his "subjects." He could have any or masses of them exiled and killed at will. They weren't considered as the same type of humans.
When I heard that question, my jaw dropped. I listened to your answer my mouth open. I expected you to say "do I look like the Tsar of Russia to you?" But, you said something else, kind of an excuse type, wasn't that bad... At least he got surprised too.
Capitalism and free market economy are not oppressive. You created jobs for lots of people. United States which has been most successful free market economy for 200 years still considered most democratic society. Nobody here tells me how to live my life, how much money is enough to have and what should I do with it. They applaud you, if you're successful. That's why people want to come here. Unfortunately for lots of people in Russia there is an old perception, psychological inertia from socialism that rich is no good, it can't be right, how could this be?
I grew up on that too, that's why didn't develop any survival skills. At the same time everyone wants to be rich, right? Right!
1st reason is ignorance, 2nd, the shock of it happening too fast, the 3rd, do not underestimate power of envy in human kind. Testosterone makes man to go to war - kill people and break things, all for money and power. You have at least one of those without war - imagine that. No wonder you don't travel alone. He also asked you about "love." You avoided the answer, but rightfully called marriage a "deal." Very true. That is a 2 way contract for life and should be taken most seriously. Besides "love" there are many different things should come together to make the marriage work. You can change almost anything in life, but can't change your children; no return, no exchange and no money back on that deal. Mother's role in their development is immeasurable. Those are your most precious investments who grow and later become your parents. Most challenging thing for you is to have a family and be able to protect it, while providing them with a normal, functional life. There is no worse let down, than the one from your own family. Closer to the skin, deeper is the burn. Fear of commitment should be on the top line of high risk items on your "to do" list. Under today's nuptial law of Russia, you're seriously vulnerable and possible harm won't end with you, it will spread and effect lots of people connected to you through your businesses. Also French law is no good, it dismisses parents' wishes and powers over their children, thus surrendering them as worthless providers. Also both these countries are missing one another essential thing about education, that you particularly might need. I leave it out now.

Happy Easter! May every dark spot in my life will be filed with light today.
Although in your interview with Mr. Pozner you said that you're an atheist, but in your interview with "60 minutes" you said "miracle happens" about your luck in business.
God is about miracle, life is a miracle, we don't know why and how we've got here. I'm not a religious person and with you we grew up in the same country with same or similar upbringing and we're almost the same age, but I had a life full of challenges.
I came to USA alone with nothing and without any survival skills. Not a street smart or a clever type. Read too many books before and lived in much better world in my mind. Soon understood that world is not a "fairy land" and we need God for answers. Every time I was down and disappointed, tired and sad, He was there. I never felt alone or in danger. He showed me signs in little things. Little light here and there to take on another day, not to compromise my values and stay strong. He was on my side so many times. Lord is about Faith, Hope and Love. Where would I be without those? You know already that you don't need to be religious person to believe that miracle happens.
One more thing on a lighter note; if it's true that you still feel like a teenager, you should get yourself a big fluffy Easter bunny to cheer you up. Or tell me your address I'll send it to you. There are very cute ones in here called "pillow pals." You can use them as pillows while taking naps during your lengthy work days. You need bunny! Walt Disney had Mickey Mouse when he was a grown up man, married with 4 children. So, don't be shy, help yourself. Last year Easter day we were in Disney's Magic Kingdom in FL. Have you been there?
We have big Easter parade on 5ht Avenue today, lots of people young and old will be dressed in costumes with baskets full of eggs, chocolates, candies, flowers and all sorts of goodies. Music, street fair and fiesta. How can you miss this out?

We were shocked by the tragic events in Moscow's metro. My condolences to Russian people and anybody should you have known personally among victims. Here, people in the media and politics who are more defense oriented were furious in their expressions. The fact that this was not a natural disaster, makes it that much harder to comprehend.
What's next and how to prevent are the hardest questions. I was in NYC when twin towers came down. I'll never forget every hour of that day. Our countries have a common enemy and just only for that one reason they must be friends. I have a plan and a project to help this important cause. There is no excuse anymore. Before America would say that Russia is communist or socialist or whatever. Now what? Now Russia is open market economy with highly educated population. As you said in your interview, 20 years ago you didn't know anything about capitalism. And look at you now. A person like you who inherited nothing from anybody is a face of Russian economic success. With all the power you can have with that type of money I wish you'd handle it with great responsibility to influence people in a positive way and do it with honor and grace. I don't want to look like I'm advising you in any way, after all it's your life and I respect that. I'm just trying to share an opinion that I'd share with anyone I know.
When I came to America and saw lots of very rich and famous people miserable, drugged up, broken down, lonely, suicidal, I wondered why? Why couldn't they just be ecstatic all the time, enjoy life, laughter, have parties, have lots of children, travel the world? What else do they want? When I started to learn psychology, I found out that fame and fortune can be used in 3 different ways - good and bad. This I won't tell you. Don't want to sound lecturing. But all this talk comes down to let you know that deep in my heart and prayers I wish you'd help those victims and their families, if possible.

I'm doing this to tell you that I'm very interested to have you as a sponsor for my projects. I read your bio, watched couple of interviews. Have a feeling that although we live in different continents, we have common things to talk about and identify with.

It's not suppose to be funny, but I can make it fun to read. Believe it or not I was kidnapped 2 times (not violently), no joke, really. More about me you can find out from my complete profile. I have connected blogs in order not to repeat things. Just a little more about myself: on BMTI I'm mostly green with blue, introvert, also predominantly auditory. Prefer to hear what someone has to say than pay attention how he or she looks like. All of these are few among people; greens 17%, blues 10%, auditories 20%. I don't want to get technical, so I'll leave it there. Also I'm a Gemini. I can handle 2 different things.
My background, education, trainings, skills, life experiences and view of value systems topped with creativity differs from others in here. I grew up in different world, I can compare right things and see what's beyond them.
I love everything Russian, especially the language (I haven't practice it for many years); it's rich, powerful, flexible, funny and I'd love to practice again.
The 3rd book will be for children. I write those stories for leisure to keep my mind on kinder things. You and I grew up with nice fairy tales, cartoons and puppet shows. American kids are exposed to not as much as nice things. I want to help them, share what we had. I'm dreaming of a Puppet Theater in NYC. We can use my stories. I have the characters ready. Maybe we'll have new generation growing closer culturally and cooping, instead of competing. I prefer harmony to drama. These 2 countries had and still have too much drama and can't afford it anymore. You can help me to help them both. Long road can start from here - one step at the time. I'll keep blogging.
