Are you in politics in any way anymore? Did you give up?
There are things that you can do to effect, influence, help, develop and promote civil society without politics.
From far way I see only one problem: I believe that I'm right, but I might be wrong; people you surrounded yourself were not the ones who knew politics and could help, accompany or lead you into its complicated web. It's a dangerous enterprise, it's full of resentment and hate, it can jeopardize the safety of your family and extended family. Most of sane people wouldn't put up with it.
I hope that you gave up trying and settle down to enjoy peaceful and happy life. You can afford it, which is a blessing, so take advantage of it and let us know how are you doing through social media.
