From New York With Love (part 25)

Mr. Prokhorov,

No sooner I thought you've gone back taking care of your enormously big and diverse businesses and people who work for you, I saw you on the news today - back to politics.
All I can say now is WOW! Is this, as they say in Russian, matter of "principal" or sheer caprice to show some people they can't stop from doing whatever you want to do, because you're who you are - wealthy, smart, handsome and lucky too?
Maybe everyone around you making sense to you right now and you have romantic vision and goals in mind, but I can't stop myself just recording this for history by telling you that politics is not matter of "romance."
Why do I think you think and/or feel so?
In one of your interviews from your office you said that you're having fun doing business, which you called "kayf' in Russian. After "kayf" is the "party?"
I hope it would have shred of truth to it and would become true for you.
I believe you have good intentions in your own ways, but there is a wise saying in English "path to hell is often paved with good intentions."
Politics, Mr. Prokhorov, is a scary and dirty game of possibilities, lies and power straggle which can ruin not only your, but many other people's lives.
One should be fit emotionally and psychologically in certain ways to do it effectively, especially taking over the superpower like Russia.
What makes you think you can do it? You can rule Russia?
In one of my prior posts I mentioned that there are ways that you can influence and make positive changes by doing things in other ways. I'd wish I could ask questions for you to answer just for yourself.
The first one would be "would you like to control and impose to change or you'd prefer to influence and change"?
I have entire list of possibilities that you could use to influence in a positive way and change as much as you want and still have your personal life free for yourself. Anybody ever gave you such thing?
Somebody in Kremlin, who works for someone else, don't have what you have, maybe jealous, said something that was hurtful to your ego and you want to be his boss to "solve" his problem by firing him? Is this what is this all about? Or letting go of another oligarch is such a life goal for you that you put so much time and effort in it? Eventually one would be let go one day and the other would be out of jail soon and these are miserably small things in life for you to consider, considering that you can have fun life and no worries, if you'd just take it easy. Forces which encourage you to do professional politics are subconsciously or purposely are putting you in a sensitive position, which can have a side effect of putting your life on line. Is this is a good thing and for who?
Have you give it a thought?
Did anyone told you that there is totally another world out there that you explore, learn from and enjoy too?
Saying in public that you'll commit to someone for life, which called marriage, which is a contract for life, because your "country or post of presidency demands it" sounds not genuine, moreover it sounds artificial.
You had a better idea before. I heard myself you saying you should retire and merry, because you believe in doing things well. Marriage and family require maintenance, Mr. Prokhorov, core purpose of it is spend time together, share life with each other and raise offsprings.
Presidency is a 24/7 job, there is no time for family. How you're going to switch from 15 hour work day to 24 hour day under heavy security, control, exposure of daily private life surrounded with danger? Anyone would merry you while you're a president would have "family first" in her mind? How?
Being a amen and a father, raising happy, functional, respectful and appreciative to your efforts children is the utmost investment and full-time hard work you can get for yourself. It takes THE MAN to do it. It takes THE MAN to care and make a woman happy, especially a good one who has standards, values and morality and can say "NO" to you.
A woos can become a president accidentally. History showed that many times. You read history, you read books, you've seen it all. It's often NOT a macho-man business.
After all, why do you think that life is forever - I have no clue.
Good luck anyways.

Best regards.
